What sort of storage solutions have you all found for your paints? Any suggestions? Mine keep getting scattered or just thrown in a big blob together.

Couple ideas, some cheaper than others - but

Nail polish rack ^^
Lazy Susans (usually found in kitchen stuff in places like Target, Wal-Mart, sometimes dollar stores or hardware stores)
several places sell MDF versions like

Also, well worth it, if you want quality, and wood:

*edit* also strongly suggest getting upright versus horizontal types - because the horizontal types tend to have paint leak/get into the caps of dropper bottles I've found

I built a small cabinet. The doors are actually boxes (instead of flat boards), so I also have shelves on them (on the inside). Since my shelves only need to be ~1" deep, the cabinet is something like 3" deep overall, and is hang on the wall above my desk.
When I open the cabinet's doors, I have easy access to all my paints, and it looks tidy when closed; the desk is in my bedroom, not in a dedicated hobby room, so aesthetic was a big requirement (it's actually painted to match the night stands).
I'm pretty happy with the setup. It's a bit more work than buying a mdf paint station or nail polish rack, but it can look a lot better if you care about that.

I made my own with about $40 worth of materials from the hardware store and an afternoon of my time:

I have a shoe box which is good for storage and transportation, but I am thinking of building me a wooden shelf-thingy for my painting sessions. Now when I paint i just get the paints I need (usualy almost all my paints...) on my desk and its not really practical.

Hobby Zone has fantastic products made of mdf. I recently purchased a paint station and it really kept me organized for when I'm painting all day.
I also have a nail polish rack mounted inside a cabinet. Great as well.
