Hi,

I haven't played in over 15 years, and would like to participate in a local 1k pt doubles tourney. I have no idea who my partner would be, and am trying to come up with as much of an "all comers" list. It you have idea on how to spend that 6 pts, let me know. I would have loved to drop the killsaw on the painboy, and add another Kommando, but it brings the list to 1001pts.

I don't believe that mobbing up and jumping is a good strat. I might be corrected later though. The list is a lot of models, but its only 10 drops.

Lists are good. I'd just drop the banner nob in the 1000 points one and replace it with a couple of KMKs. Give Warpath to one of the weirdboyz as double da jump is kind of waste especially in smaller games where the weirdboy is unlikely to die in early turns.

I would rather keep the Banner Nob and the Vanguard detachment whole.

I could cut 20 boys off a mob for possible mob-up/da jump and use the points for 3 KMK's. Thats puts me at 998.

are there any tournament specific rules to take into consideration? missions etc?

Of course, it's your call and the list should be ok even without changes. But big mobs of boyz should cause overkill in 1000 points games even without the banner, that's why I would suggest to cut it. And having more wounds is better than having lesser bodies with a better WS.
