This is how I imagine my Iron Warriors when I give them the Slaanesh mark (for extra dakka)

You don't have to be painted pink to really enjoy exploooosions, right?

I am actually catching some flak for doing the IW Slaanesh thing... but I feel the fluff is rock solid here.

Slightly on topic, does anyone else feel that the Strategems for Slaanesh and Iron Warriors need to be switched around?

I don't really understand why in the Chaos space marines codex there are no "CHAOS UNDIVIDED" keyword, or mark or whatever...

The marks and gods rules in the CSM codex are a punch in the face of the background and story of this army. Iron Warriors were known for not worshipping any of the chaos gods. So it makes no sense at all to not have the option of giving them a chaos undivided mark/keyword/whatever. All the codex is pretty lazy and dull, because an Iron Warriors army only should be able to take a Chaos undivided mark, and this should be enforced in the rules, it makes no sense at all to have a "khorne" demon prince with the Iron Warriors legion to have more attacks and the armour relic, he should be either from the Iron warriors legion either having the mark of khorne, BUT NO both...

This is even more true for the Obliterators. They should never been able to take any other mark than the Chaos Undivided or their own thing, as they are their own cult, with the technovirus melting flesh and machinery...

And the fact that everybody takes Obliterators with mark of slaanesh because they can shoot twice is just sad...

Then one could imagine this is a splinter warband who split off from the Iron Warriors, using their tactics and such still but having left the primary leadership of the Iron Warriors divisions. If we ever get a proper Legion supplement for the rest of the undivided's/partially marked in the codex that one could be said to be the primary legion force.

They are a cult.. But in the same sense that Raptors are one, they can dedicate themselves to the Chaos Gods.

...There is literally an undivided option. Marks are optional as is, and there is a banner for undivided (the one that gives +1 leadership) that specifically says no god units allowed.
