I'm starting a sisters of battle army and I cannot seem to find the Penitent Engine rules in the Imperium 2 codex with all the other sisters of battle characters and units. Has anybody got them or know where I can find them?

It's part of the auxiliary units like crusaders. It's technically not a sob unit because it can have dudes tied up to it.

PE's are part of the Ministorum, not the AS. Page 93 of Imperial Index 2

Yeah its confusing. Theyre part of the ministorum entries and have ministorum keywords. Sisters also are part of ministorum and have ministorum keywords theyre seen as seperate or the same depending on who you talk to.
But as pointed out above, its in imperium 2 with the ministorum entries. Aka the close combat part of sisters.

I find it bizarre as it specifically says sisters of battle on the games workshop store description.
Are they any good? Automatically Appended Next Post: Wow. They are pretty good! The sisters of battle have a real problem with long range lol.

They were part of Codex: Witch Hunters back in the day so they'd still be smooshed together to make less work for website designer

They are good if they can make it across the table and engage the enemy like they're supposed to... But that doesn't happen often. They are fun, good looking models, though.

They're great looking models, but even with pinning they're a nightmare to build (much less keep assembled).
They're the one model I wanted in Finecast just so I could actually build some that wouldn't collapse when looked at funny.

IDK about finecast (would be to much blow drying to get straight and is the worst material to work with ever...) atleast with metal, and if pin correctly, they are ok atm though fiddly (I have 6).
I have tried to make them work in my Valorous heart army but they are to expensive to be worth it tbh.

I had issues with the hips, even with pins. Maybe it was the super glue I was using, or the fact that I live someplace cold so the models can end up suffering a little because of it, but having them come apart was a problem.
I was considering learning how to solder just to solve the problem honestly.

The entire model is a cluster fuk....
It looks good but takes alot of finesse.

I highly suspect GW's are resin.

No, the whole sister range, besides Veridyan, is still metal...

I think he means that the ones GW uses for painting and display on their books and site are resin copies.

Sisters have *amazing* mid/close range punch. Play them as fast movers - everything in transports, dominion and seraphim+celestine. Get up to the enemy as fast as you can and melt their favorite toy.
Engines now work really well when taken in packs of like 3+ They are brutal when they hit the right target(s)

I was thinking resin masters, but yeah, basically. I mean they did it with the Custodes recently, so it's not like it's a stretch to think the studio has resin masters they used for theirs.

They are amazing looki g and look scary. They have to be run in grooups to get the amount of attacks in combat to be effective and wounds to survive there. Theyre too slow to keep up with front line (really miss the days of 6+d6move +d6 advance) but as rear guard they can be terrors to deep strikers.

I've used the one I own to anchor a flank, squat on an objective, or flambe deep strikers, but yes, more would be better. Mine was secondhand and the damage I did stripping it required two pins. It's still temperamental. I'd love to see what they could do with 3d design and modern plastic multipart lits.
