I had a look at the list that won the LVO and found it totally confusing. For one specific reason.

1) In the Craftworld Eldar Codex it talks about a Battle-forged Craftworld Detachment needing to draw all of its units from the relevant Craftworld, to unlock the Strategems etc. I understand this.
2) However, in order to be a Craftworld detachment, all units need to share the right Craftworld Keyword.
3) This bit, the Craftworld Keyword, is defined separately from the requirement to unlock Strategems etc., in the Eldar Codex. Just having a Detachment will unlock Strategems for a specific type of Unit, irrespective of its Detachment. Understood.
4) However, in order to be a Craftworld Keyword Detachment, all units must share the same Craftworld Keyword.

Now on to the Ynnari. An Ynnari Detachment is made up of different Units that basically have different Faction Keywords. Now, RAW I would argue that for an Ynnari Craftworld Keyword Detachment to be a Craftworld/Ynnari Detachment, all Aeldari units in said Detachment, as per the rules in the Eldar Codex concerning Craftworld Keywords, would need to share the same Craftworld Keyword. If, not the Detachment and your army is not actually legal.

Thoughts?

Best, Samii.

A 'pure' Detachment like:

Patrol
HQ
Alaitoc Farsser

Troops
Alaitoc Rangers

Unlocks Stratagems and traits. Other detachments are legal, however, the such as

Patrol
HQ
Yrvaine

Troops
Alaitoc Rangers

This does not unlock craft world Stratagems or traits, but does benefit from the Ynarri rules.

Both detachments are legal and can even appear together in a legal list. Such a list would have access to craft World Stratagems although the Ynarri rangers would not benefit from the trait.

The main issue with the LVO list it's the part in the codex Craftworlds where it says all units must be drawn from a specific Craftworld of your choose.

Since Ynnari don't overwrite / change the Craftworld keyword thats why teorically by RAW he can grant Craftworld keywords to Ynnari units in order to gain an extra advantage ( example in case the Saim-hann Shinning spears wich can use the advance and charge stratagem)

P. S: Also the LVO list it's made of 2x different detachment a Craftworld one and Ynnari one ( making it an "Eldar soup" army) as Drager properly pointz.

His first detachment was a pure craftworld detachment that got all the strats and abilities unlocked.

His second was a Ynnari detachment that unlocked Ynnari abilities (such as soulburst).

He then abused soulburst to shoot a unit of 9 reapers in every phase of the game.

Its techniqually legal, though complete bs. Only Ynnari or harlequin units should be able to benefit from soulburst actions. Craftworld and/or Dark eldar should not be allowed to soulburst.

Hmm only the dark reapers and the shinning spears took advantage of the Soulburst and both belonged to the Ynnari Detachment not the craftworld one.

He didn't abused Ynnari rules and played the Ynnari units just as intended. It's the sinergy and advantage of Craftworld keywords and stratagems wich gave them the edge just the opposite of your claim.

He did abuse the Ynnari rules, as the Dark reapers are a craftworld unit and shouldn't be able to use soulburst.

The rules allow it though so i'll just put it out that Its just my personal vendetta on a stupidly overpowered rule.

Soulburst isn't much different than Acts of Faith and in fact way worse in most of aspects but that's a different issue that should be discussed elsewhere to avoid run offtopic from Op questions.

TL; DR:

The LVO Eldar list had 2x different detachments an Ynnari and a Craftworld one. The Craftworld one is able to unlock the stratagems for the whole army.
Stratagems only require simple keywords to be used like "Asuryani Infantry" thus allowing some Ynnari units to take advantage of those Stratagems.
a further loophole in the Eldar codex simply says:
All Asuryani belong to a craftworld. Some datasheets specify which craftworld the unit is from (e.g. Prince Yriel has the IYANDEN keyword, so is from Craftworld Iyanden).
If an Asuryani datasheet does not specify which craftworld it is from, it will have the <CRAFTWORLD> keyword.
When you include such a unit in your army, you must nominate which craftworld that unit is from.

Since units on an Ynnari detachment gain the Ynnari keyword this allows to have a "Saim-Hann shinning spears in the Ynnari detachment and be able to use the Warriors of the RAging winds stratagem on them or Alaitoc Dark reapers and use Forewarned with them or embark into Alaitoc transports.

Ynnari should get their own little list of strats/relics and WL traits and it should replace <Craftworld> and <Whatever Deldar get> keywords with Ynnari.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I'm on the same opinion that will solve most of the issues at least for the moment.
