I'm probably just dumb but...a friend and I were discussing and weren't sure.

The Forgeworld Rapier Carrier with a Quad Heavy Bolter loadout.

is this affected by the Hellfire Shells stratagem?

As it's not an adeptus astartes INFANTRY model it isn't a valid target for the stratagem.
Also why would you want to swap heavy 12 for d3 wounds?

No. A "Quad Heavy Bolter" is not a "Heavy Bolter".

But even if it was, Hellfire Shells stratagem only affects INFANTRY, and I am pretty sure the Rapier Carrier is not INFANTRY.

and just like i that i have the feel bads
should've just read it more.

not that i wanted to use the strategem on it I was just curious if it was applicable.
