I think a Daemon Prince of Khorne from the Chaos Daemons codex, equipped with the Skullreaver axe, could be a pretty nasty piece of work. That being said, I like my CSM Prince of Slaanesh with the Intoxicating Elixir, casting Diabolic Strength on himself. 9 S10 AP-2 D2 attacks per combat that hit on 2+ rerolling 1's. Any non-monster character short of Guilliman should be afraid of that.

Someone that has been overlooked so far is the Death Guard Daemon Prince of Nurgle. Same dual-talons as everyone, but with a 4+++ as warlord, the Suppuration Plate relic which provides him with 2+ armor and for every successful save in combat causes a mortal wound to the unit hitting him and a psychic power that gives him +1 to wound. So he would wound most targets just like the Prince of Slanesh but trades two attacks for 2+/5++/4+++.

An then there is Typhus, who can buff himself, casually walk up to a vehicle and chop it in half like it's nothing.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

Grand Master on Dreadknight's is a pretty significant threat. 2WS/BS (With a nemesis greatsword he has 5 attacks with 10 Strength, AP3 and D6 damage), ability to take multiple heavy weapons such as an incinerator, heavy psycanon and heavy psilencer , can re-roll his own 1s to hit and has two psychic powers per phase, not to mention deep strike. If he casts sanctuary on himself he can have 3+ invulnerable save and if you are playing with a GK detachment and use the Heed the Prognosticators stratagem he can go to 2+ saves (because all his to save invulnerable rolls will have +1, getting around the max 3+ inv save rule)

Is a Khorne Juggerlord plus Axe Of Blind Fury still a consideration?

That reminds me, Cypher is not that good at hitting hard, but he is very good at shooting people in the face who thought they could kill him in combat.

I'd say that Ultramarines Land Raider Terminus Ultra is pretty damn good. 8 lascannons and land raider stats. Bam.

The canoness is a jump pack away from being half decent in combat (as she would work out at ~78pts for four 3+ to hit, strength 6, D3 wound attacks.

The ministorum on the other hand probably takes the award for worst close combat HQ with six 3+ to hit, strength 3, AP- attacks for 100 points.
