I have green stuff and the desire to make a daemonhost to represent Cherubael, but I don't know what to use as a base. Is there anything human-like that can be messed around with to look like a half decent host? I'd rather not just try and find a metal host.

Ideas for making something would be very appreciated. I'm sort of stuck here.

You can make paint do a lot of the work for you with unnaturally pale skin, no need to go nuts with sculpting (unless you happen to want to)

Flagellants would seem to be a good base with their tattered robes and plenty of skin on display. They also have creepy heads like this one with a sitched mouth:

or this one with a cage:

stick some ghoul or weaponless zombie arms on and I reckon it could work.

Dark Eldar wracks might be worht exploring too, you could leave off or cut away a lot of the extra junk in/on their backs.

Honestly given 40k's scale creep I reckon you could just get away with using the original model from =][=.

I thought GW wasn`t going to release rules for models that aren`t being produced anymore..?

In two daemonhost conversions, I used the GW daemonhosts as the base, and changed out the arms and heads and fiddled with the pose slightly, which was a pain considering these were metals.

One of them is in my gallery

I apologize for the washed out pic, but you get the idea. If GW sells them in finecast, they'd be much easier to convert now.

Ummm that's about 54mm compared to about 30mm it should be. Daemonhosts aren't huge giants. They are human bodies with daemon inside so no doubling in size. Especially here when his description has been described and towering giant is NOT it.

Hey, buddy, do you need rope? Looks like you tripped and fell into the sarchasm (which, for the avoidance of doubt, is wordplay combining sarcasm and chasm).

That is a great choice, and one I myself am considering!
