Everything starts in the tank. EVERYTHING. Then, turn 1, the Psyker pops out the rear and casts either Psychic Barrier (if the enemy is lacking in AP) or Nightshroud (if the enemy DOES have good AP). Company Commander (with Grand Strategist and the Aquila) stays in the tank, generating CP for me. He's there because I wanted an extra HQ for a second Spearhead, and so that way if/when the tank goes boom, I have a few orders to give. Cadian is so everything rerolls 1s (except the Stormlord itself), since screw moving.

Sorry, but wouldn't the troops count as embarked i.e. off the table and so invoke the 50% rule?

I don't think Embarked does that.

You need a meat shield. I'd say 60-90 infantry

That is 240-360 points I do not have at 1,000.

Yep, you're right. My bad.

Probably worth including a ten man infantry squad to eat some of the casualties when the tank blows up so you're not losing expensive heavy weapon teams.

you need to have a supreme command detachment to get the regiment bonus
