Hi folks,

I'm looking to buy a Vaul's Wrath battery direct from GW for €50 and free shipping...

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's tried modelling the batteries so that the weapons are interchangeable? Magnets or pins or whatever. I can't quite tell from the online store if it's possible.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

You dont need magnets on this one, the weapons are easily swapped

Good to hear. Are they also easily swapped onto War Walkers and Wraithlords?

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

Both use the heavy weapon platform (i.e. Guardian squad) connection, rather than the vehicle connection. It's do-able but fiddlier than others. I managed it with a pair of 1mm diameter magnets, but I've always been a bit disappointed with how they finished up - I'm currently converting my War Walkers to use the vehicle-mounted versions instead.

Short of the Wraithseer, none of the War Walkers or Wraithlords can take the weapons available in the support box. Don't they only come with Vibrocannons, Distortion Cannons, and Shadow Weavers, etc?

War Walkers, for instance can take none of those as optional weapons.

This poster is correct.

The only exception I know of is the Wraithseer which does have a Distortion Cannon option (the Forgeworld Wraithlord caster fella). That's the only thing you'd be looking to magnetize/mount ---- unless, of course, you're creating your own units (in which case...go nuts!).

I hope you didn't purchase the box expecting a bunch of scatter lasers, shuriken cannons, brightlances, starcannons, or missile launchers --- those are reserved for the vehicles and the smaller grav platforms which escort Guardian squads.
