Finally finished my two Redemptor Dreadnoughts. I had planned to do more detail and weathering but there's so much in the queue I just had to get them done. I did paint both weapons for both Dreads at least

They look awesome! The weathering on the panels is ace!

The only thing that irks me is that some of the steel (specifically the rotary cannons and arms) doesn't seem to have the same level of weathering as the main body. If it's just not showing up well in the photo please feel free to tell me to f'off.

Gorgeous work. I don't find these dreadnoughts particularly attractive from a design standpoint, but you've done a splendid job changing that with nice posing and stellar paintwork. Gorgeous work.

Wow. You just sold me on the kit. Sometimes they look silly in the GW photos, bad poses or whatever, but this really makes me want a redemptor!

Gets along better with animals... Go figure.

It’s a fair comment - the metal could do with a bit more attention and I may revisit it. I have such a queue though I decided to call these done (for now at least!)

Really sharp! Love the lighting effects.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

When the Redemptor was released I remember reading how posable it was. This might be the first time I have seen that really apparent in the models. These guys look rather spry. Lovely work.

Another great hit from you!

Loving the color scheme and how well it applies across the infantry and the vehicles. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering:

1) Do you coat your models with varnish before photographing or after? (If at all)

2) How long does something like this take if you were to keep working without interruption?
3) How do you do the metal? It's absolutely stunning.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing more from you!

As good as it gets!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Thanks man!

1) I usually gloss coat (Humbrol) before applying decals, then I use Lahmian Medium as a matte coat. I recently had the Vallejo Premium varnishes recommended to me and have used them on my Repulsor (in progress) and they are very good.

2) Because there are always interruptions that is actually very difficult to answer. I did a little experiment with a squad of Intercessors and used a stopwatch to time each stage. It worked out about 90 minutes per marine, but that was working quite fast as I knew I was timing myself

I also managed to get my Repulsor from primer to the stage you see below in four hours in one evening, which I impressed myself with – but that was one of those rare times when I just had a really good smooth run at it.

So in summary, it can be quite fast. But in reality, there are interruptions

3) Another recent discovery – Vallejo Metal Color. These paints are absolutely awesome – the smoothest I've ever used. I used a couple of different colours on the Dreads – Copper, Exhaust Manifold and Dark Aluminum.

Greetings LutherMax, Your Redemptor Dreadnoughts both look really great! The object source lighting on the plasma cannon weapon is perfect! I am a big fan of Your style of painting. It is neat and has good weathering at the same time.

I like that You do multiple kits and present them at the same time showing You can produce uniformed teams of miniatures.

The action poses are cool and really make the model appealing.

The bases for the models are well done too! All Your Primaris Space Marine works of art have been wonderful. I Thank You for sharing Your work. :-)
