Hey, just wondering what would be a better pick for a space marine army, a legion fellblade/ falchion or one of the baneblade variants. I've been looking around the forums and most people seem to think that the recent increase in points has way over costed the forgeworld items.
But the rule of cool is still in effect, and the fact that i use space marines and i could perhaps combo it with gulliman in a gun line army. Would this make it worth it to bring the forgeworld models? I know the guns of the fellblade compared to say the baneblade falls short but it is quite a bit more durable.

Also in some of the threads people were saying you could not bring a relic unit unless you brought another non relic unit in the same detachment, but this was changed in the FAQ.

true but the super heavy detachment rules means running a bane blade with marines is pretty doable.

So they are useless at their current cost, which you know.

If I had to pick one it would be the falchion. That’s a really serious gun - albeit not much better than a shadowsword’s one. It does also pack 8 lascannons.

If you want something cool, big and forgeworld, get a fire raptor. They have fantastic firepower.
