Hi guys!

I don't know if this fits in this forum, but I was looking to expand my nid collection and i came over this./

I can probably get i down quite a bit.

3 hive tyrant 2 med vinger
swarmlord
mawlock
maleceptor
broodlord
tervigon
carnifex
malanthrope (recast)
Harridan (recast)
3 biowore
6 venomthropes
9 warriors
30 gaunts (skyte gutter)
27 gaunts (close combat)
8 genestealers

Is this good value?
How is the maleceptor, tervigon and malanthrope after the point increase, do they fit in competitive lists?

Also, the Harridan?

I'd go for a deal like that. It seems like a bargain for what you are getting.

I wouldn't buy anything that includes recasts.

Doesn't look bad - a lot of the stuff is unpainted, and the painted stuff looks good. I don't know Tyranids values that well, but I don't think it looks like a bad deal at all.

I haven’t heard of recasts before. Are they illegal sculps of the existing model

Effectively yeah. Painted recasts of FW are actually really hard to spot if they're well done. In fact the easiest way to spot them is that the quality is higher than FW miniatures in some cases.

I mean in terms of value you're probably getting your money back, but you have no control over customization.

Sometimes recasts can look better, but it’s still the result of a crime and appropriation of someone else’s intellectual property. Slippery slope to be sure.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

This would add up to 930 GBP/1285 USD if i were to buy it all new. I think I'll pull the trigger on this. Its a lot of money, but if i give it all a nice paint job i can make back some of my money if i decide to sell it.

I got it all for 230gbp
