So when I got my Ad-mech codex and datacards I already had my space marine cards. As you already know space marines get a bunch of cards with psychic powers, Ad-mech has no psykers so I was confused why they wouldn't take the time to put the canticles on a card/cards and put it in?

This would be really helpful and i plan on making my own game aids but this seemed lazy to me

I think Datacards in general are useful but a huge missed opportunity.

They should have a card or 2 with stat lines and a couple cards with weapon profiles on them. Anything to make good quick reference material to speed up play.

Also, why the hell are they not selling packs of mission datacards?

Also why the hell are they not selling the 2 wheel command point/victory point dials that came with limited edition chapter approved?

GWs business plan is confusing as feth.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Don't you already have that at the back of the Codex?

This. So much this. This would be an auto-buy for 99% of the player base, even at 10 bucks.

This is another reason why I insist on making two double-sided laminated cheat-sheets (sadly it takes two to fit a full codex on them). My sheets contain all the stats for units I use (including their points costs I update as needed), then on the flip side a page covering all the weapons I need (again with points costs). Wargear is included here if needed.

The second page includes warlord traits, relics, craftworld/chapter traits, spells, and stratagems. Basically the entire codex for each army is two double-sided pages. Colour coded for ease of reference. I update them as needed (and am waiting to print the next set after the March FAQ). It puts everything I need literally on two pages of paper. Far easier than cards, codices, etc. I keep those on hand for when needed (if someone asks to see rules, etc.).

It took me a couple hours to do them, but it's been monumental in saving time.

Sounds useful,do you have a template you could share?

I don't have a template, just typed them up quickly on Word - would post a sample here but that's against forum rules really, as I'd be re-posting GW rules content, etc.

1) no. the fold out page isn't in the back of the codex anymore.

2) a fold out page from the codex isn't nearly as useful. You need to flip through the book to double check other rules. I want the data cards to have the data so I don't ave to keep flipping back even IF it had the fold out pages.

These are the blanks I made and shared for my nids. Working on Tau currently.

Quick Reference Sheets for all units and wargear by Lance845
Spoiler:
Fill-able by downloading GIMP (free photoshop) and using the text tool. I am working on creating a fill-able pdf form version so you can just type into it, but it's a lot of trial and error work.

I was pretty happy with the TS card - all 18 spells - I was worried I had to go buy the spells from the other sets.
