Not a big surprise to be honest. I am in no way shocked whatsoever GW's promises about FAQs at specific times would end up broken. It's now the "Spring" FAQ, so 20th of June for sure.

So really anytime from now until end of May. Sounds like they overcommitted, I'd be interested to know what the current state of this "big FAQ" is currently in, if it was even ready for release prior to Adepticon - surely there couldn't have been that many new questions raised from Adepticon?

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.
To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Probably a knee-jerk reaction to Flyrants.
I'll also put a quid on GW stretching the definition of Spring to the 20th of June.

I'd rather wait a bit longer for a more balanced result, assuming that's what we're getting lol.

To be fair GW probably had it 90% done only to see 8/16 lists be flyrant spam at the 11th hour. I'd rather they take the time to do a well thought out reaction to what they saw at Adepticon rather than a knee jerk reaction like what commissars and conscripts got. If that means the March FAQ becomes an April or even a May FAQ so be it. People bitched about GW being too trigger happy with FAQ's, this is what you get.
All it means is I'm waiting a bit on building a few units for my tryhard lists to see what shakes up. Most of the way I play should be pretty safe but I've been looking at allying in Admech for my serious guard list and have been waiting to see if the FAQ addresses allies in any wayn

Saw this earlier today. Meh. It seems pretty dumb to react to one tournament in Chicago in such a big way, but there's no point in getting worked up when we have no idea what GW is going to do, anyway.

Meh, the FAQ is unlikely to affect what it is that I use in my Blood Angels army... unless they improve Tactical Squads at all.

Have they reacted in a big way or did they decide that their current solution wasn't refined enough to deal with the new info? Either way the sky is falling. GW will likely go out of business now.

"fwiw poxwalkers are changing to cost reinforcement points and tide of traitors is only going to reinforce 10 models to the unit. That coupled with 0-1 flyrant limit ala commanders and likely changes to reapers in the March faq should bring down some of the strongest armies in the game. ".
http://advancedtautactica.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27880
Personally the problem with Poxwalkers are the stratagems. If the only way to add new poxwalkers was how they originally did it, killing thing in meele, then they wouldn't need to kill the unit. Just fix the stratagems.
But well, I'm sure they will still have a place even costing reinforcement points with the stratagems.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

They always said they were going to collect data to finalize their FAQ at adepticon. I always assumed it was foolhardy to assume they could write it in less than a week to publish it in march.
That being said, the tone makes me think they are likely falling into the easy trap of knocking down good units. For instance Flyrants are super good at the adepticon missions. Monstrous Rending Claws definitely need a points bump. HOWEVER. One of the reason Flyrants are so ubiquitous is that Walkrants suck. They lack the durability and mobility to be an effective alternative to a flyrant. If they make flyrants as bad as walkrants it won't really improve the situation. They need to make bad units better at the same time they make good units worse.
My biggest request from this faq isn't that it addresses the units at the top tables at Adepticon. My biggest request is the big FAQ addresses the units that didn't make it to the table at Adepticon.
