Hello. This is my first list. It is a pure Ordo Tempestus force. I would appreciate any advice.

The two battalions are, if not almost, identical, and there are three Valkyries for ferrying dropped troops around. The ten man squads will be assisted by either the warlord or the other warlord equivalent for Take Aim! and FRFSRF. Plasma gun suicide spam commandos are a classic. A couple of stock scion squads and a couple of 5 man squads with 2 HSVG can act as buffer units for holding enemies at bay. The Lord Commissars stand and look intimidating, but can also act as either a buffer or hunting units, because 3 S6 AP-3 D3 damage at WS2+ is pretty tough, I also would like to use the models.

Again, would love any advice from anybody that loves to field stormtroopers.

Hey, thanks for checking this out.

Volley guns are great, but plasma spam is where Scions really shine... I might try to massage that ratio a little. Also, I don't know how much ferrying you'll need to do with the Valkyries with so many Scions raining down. Maybe late in the game, but you've also got Move Move Move for that. And since Scions can DS without Valkyries, maybe something fun in them for the early game? I'm thinking Bullgryns... I've only had mine for a few games, but it could be good for a laugh and they can hit pretty hard with the right aura buffs.

Yes, I have realized. I have a few lists posted, and this one is one of the older ones. The one that has strategies like what you are describing is the names similarly, but is titled with “Super Revision”

My latest one (the one I am thinking of sticking with), is titled “Militarum Tempestus - Is it competitive?”
