Weakening dollars rejoice!

This isn’t just any store, though – there will also be Forge World models in stock and available from this weekend, and forever more, as well as Warhammer Citadel exclusives available nowhere else!

Its a return to the old 'Bunker' style store so I'm not terrible surprised. It won't make getting FW in the US any easier unless you're able to visit them.

I know a couple people down there so I might be fortunate in that regard. Hopefully the store works and they continue to push it to other big cities.

So, can you place orders through them for FW stuff? Or do you have to pick it up there?

You'd have to pick it up there. There's zero chance that a single, relatively small retail space will begin taking on Forgeworld orders for the entire US.

Unfortunately, they'll likely charge the US catalog prices, which can be even higher than if you just ordered direct from Forgeworld with the exchange rate.

Where is this store located? You'd think whoever wrote the piece would tell us that.

It's been all over the Warhammer Community page for a month or two - in Texas.

Dallas Fort Worth

More specifically Grapevine, which is North Dallas.

They won't be doing any online retailing, so you'd need to travel to DFW to actually buy anything.

One of the big reasons they chose that spot, however, is to make it relatively easy for hobbyists that want to fly in and visit it. DFW is a huge airport with cheap flights all over the country.

In a hobby where hardcore hobbyists spend thousands a year on tiny plastic/resin soldiers, I wouldn't be surprised to see people spend 200 bucks on a round trip ticket to come down for a weekend, play a few games, pick up some forgeworld models, and head home happy.

There are some good tournaments there sometimes, too.
