Subject: Space marine dreadnought twin autocannon points question

With Chapter approved out alot of weapons got point updates including the twin autocannon for the adeptus astartes.
From my understanding if i want to use a load out not available in the codex but in the index i use the datasheet from the codex when able and the weapon choice from the index and the most up to date data available.
So my basic question is will a dreadnought taken with 2 twin auto cannons be
70 +30+30 = 130 CA
or
70+33+33+ 136 Codex
My position is that it would be the CA price based on that it is both a Space marine dreadnought and an Adeptus astartes dreadnought and that several shared weapons from the codex and forgeworld book are the same updated price ,assault cannon for example.
It's been bugging me for a while so any precedent or comparison would be very helpful.

The flowchart explains it all. You use the latest rules (and thus, points) for whatever you're taking, but can use the index wargear options if you so desire. You pay the Chapter Approved and Codex points.

Wait are you using the cost from the forgeworld section of Capter approved for an index spacemarine wargear? As if so thats not legit.

He isn't. He's using the points cost found on page 120 of Chapter Approved 2017, under Adeptus Astartes Wargear. That's the points cost you pay for Twin Autocannon, regardless of whether it's on an Index entry or Codex entry, along with using the latest rules for that Twin Autocannon, which are in the Index: Imperium 1

Isn't that the forgeworld imeperial armour index: forces of the adaptes astartes page?
As building a mortis dreadnaught using the forgeworld book that exact loadout is 135 points and as I'm fairly sure you need forgeworld parts to build a autocannon mortis dreadnaught. Using the index base and forgeworld weapon prices as a work around for 5 points feels kinda cheesy. I'm sure it worked out to 136 points using the index as it's definataly not a codex configuration.

Haha it’s someone’s favourite subject... :-D Ahhhh the poor twin autocannon Dread. So many salty arguments about it.

Woops. My bad I somehow totally missed the MASSIVE BOLD TITLE.
So yeah, you still use the Index points for the Autocannons for Codex Space Marines units using Index wargear options.

That is a bummer. Figured that I was also adeptus astartes as well. However to make sure i understand it right Say they update relic blade points cost and i give one to a honor guard who cant take a relic blade in the codex but can in the index i would have to use the old points not the updated points?

You’d use the updated points.

No, in that case you'd use the updated points. The reason you don't for the Autocannon is that is for Forge World datasheets only.
