With Dark Eldar putting up some serious negative LD I was wondering if they coukd just stand next to vechiles and intimidate them to run away. When does a moral test need to be taken? In previous editions itnwas when 25% of the unit was destroyed but now it's when a unit has a chance to fail. Am I reading the rules correctly or could enough Dark Eldar negative LD force a titan to take and fail a LD test?

Morale tests are only taken when models in a unit have been destroyed. Vehicles and Titans are usually single model units, and so will usually never take morale tests.

There are other reasons to test leadership though, especially certain psychic powers.

Single model units will never have to take a morale test for losing models in the unit.

IIRC the only Vehicle Squadrons left in the game that can lose models to morale are Sentinels and Land Speeders (though I am sure I am missing one).

However many psychic powers or other effects rely on Leadership. Unlike previous editions, Vehicles are no different in that regard to any other model.

Any vehicle that comes in a squad and stays in a squad can suffer morale. Any single model can't even take a morale test because you must lose a model and still have models left to take the test. There is no mechanical difference between vehicles and infantry, they follow all the same general rules.

Vypers, War Walkers, Hornets and Wasp Assault Walkers also.

All are LD 8 though, so to create even the chance of failure you need to inflict a -2 debuff.

AdMec Kastellans, Sydonians and Ironstriders are also Vehicle Squadrons, and are vulnerable to morale.

Here is an answer I haven't heard yet, which is super surprising.

Read your rules.
It clearly states when you take a test.

If you have never read the rules for the game your playing, Start there. Instead of throwing random gak on a forum and expecting others to spell out the rulebook for you.

Killa kans are suspectible to this. 6 strong squad, soft as hell, LD6. Then again only masochist uses killa kans so no wonder nobody remembers them

Killa Kans, Buggies, Trakks, Skorchas and Deffkoptas all low AF leadership all can be taken in units consisting of multiple models.

The rule in question is completely clear about when a moral test is taken.
The only reason you could be asking the question you are is because you haven't read the rule.
Which should be the first thing you do when this idea pops into your head.
