Let's suppose unit 'A' has 4 models. One model is within 1" of the enemy unit 'B' , but the other three models from unit 'A' are further than 1" away from 'B'. Can those three models that start further than 1" away from unit 'B' move normally, or do they only have option of falling back since the unit as a whole began the phase within 1" of an enemy?

Thanks

Somewhere near Hamburg

"Units" get locked in close combat, not "Models"

So your whole unit has to fall back.
