I've got 4 completely finished squads of 8 Berserkers (including the champion). I modeled them back in 4th edition, so they have 5 with bolt pistol and 2 with plasma pistol. The champion has plasma pistol and power axe.

So, now that I've run my squads as chainsword/axe for a bit. I feel comfortable cutting off the bolt pistol hands and replacing with chainswords. However, I'm not so sure about the plasma. I've ran into several tactical situations that a PP would have been great. Also, I've been using the champs as power fist/chainsword.

What would you do?

Eh, if you have four squads, do them all up slightly differently...and then just run them as-is. I say this though as someone who enjoys the "well, this is what I brought" approach to wargaming most of the time.

Interesting approach. If they were yours, how would you have them assembled?

No idea, but I'd simply do up each squad slightly different and choose them as needed. It would also give you an identity for each squad.

lol, I get it. As they are currently they are a tiny bit different, and the champions are are completely different from one another. One squad has Warriors of Chaos weapons and has bronze details instead of gold or brass. The others just have different backpacks.
