This list is kind of absurd. I don't have all the models to field it, but I really really want to try this list out lol. I've never actually built a list with this much raw total damage potential. Sometimes I like to tally up my total possible damage output, this assumes everything hitting and wounding, including special rules and stratagems bonuses, as well as extra damage procs and the like, to give myself just a raw damage ceiling. Most competitive lists fall into the 400-600 total damage range. This list is over 900 total possible damage on a single battle round. So obviously that all isn't going to come through. But let's just say only 15% of that total damage potential comes through, thats 137 wounds dealt, which is around the total wounds for most 2000 point armies, which usually fall into the wound range of 120-180 wounds. But even if only 5% comes through you'll be quite happy with dishing out 40 wounds a turn. You could actually bring this list to over 1000 total damage ceiling by switching the outrider to cult of strife, alas I think the hellions must have the cursed blade morale rule to really stand a chance.

To give one example of where just some ridiculous raw damage can come from, consider one of the 20-man hellion bombs. Two attacks base, plus one for adrenalight combat drugs, and an additional plus one from hyperstimm backlash stratagem. Twenty guys with 4 attacks doing 2 damage each, as well as rapid fire splinter rifle shots. The 20-man bomb is rocking 80 attacks at strength 5 and 2 damage each, plus 40 splinter rifle shots, gives you a total damage ceiling of 200 damage on 120 dice. Obviously this doesn't work out averages and the like, but if even 10% of the damage potential comes through you're looking at an almost dead knight equivalent, and that's not even remotely close to an ideal target for them. Mass infantry just gets wiped away.

As far as the list goes, there are some conventional choices and a few that I just want to try out (clawed Fiends). It's a melee-centric murder list with no real dedicated anti-tank, you're more leaning on
massive weight of dice and a lot of damage 2 weaponry. The list brings 13 individual cult units, so I get to choose each combat drug twice each, and one gets to be chosen three times (+1 attacks). It's mostly strife for extra attacks, but again the hellions are going cursed blade to give them pseudo auto-pass morale. Most of the really hard hitters come in turn 2 from reserve, and yes the PL works out. 20 mandrakes and 40 hellions arriving turn 2, both will appreciate the re rolls to charge to be sure. Of course there is an argument for keeping the hellions on the board for a slightly easier charge, but I'm favoring survivability here.

This is a similar list that goes in a different direction. It has a few more bodies, a few less wounds, and right around the same total monstrous amount of damage potential. The second list drops all the clawed fiends for a huge amount of bikes and some more wyches. The first list just has a coolness factor in my opinion, 15 clawed fiends would look amazing on the tabletop, and there big brutish high wound count could give certain armies fits. However the second list, though less diverse, has more obsec and screening from the additional wyches, and more importantly, a lot more speed and shooting in the bikes over the clawed fiends. Plus the bikes have access to power from pain, combat drugs and obsessions, where the fiends have none. I think the first list is way cooler, but I think the second list is just better. Thoughts?

I prefer the second list, but since it looks like you are not interested in the GW suggestion that limits the number of same unit to a maximum of 3 I'd just change something with the bikes. You can bring a red grief outrider with a succubus and 3x3 bikes (just splitting a 9 man squad) which can harass the opponent with their ability to charge turn 1. Then just move the other three units of 3,9 and 12 bikes in the strife battallion, merging the 9 man squad with the min one. Same number of bikes but divided into 3x3 and 2x12 instead of 2x9, 1x3 and 1x12.

Oh haha, didn't even noticed I hadn't adjusted the 3 man unit. I'll fix that.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Final list, I was able to clean up the rule of three discrepancy and also drop a few pieces to make room for two units of scourges all with haywire blasters plus four blasters on the bikes for a total of twelve dedicated anti-tank weapons, it's not a ton, but it's much better than the zero I had before. I think this is a much tighter final list. Power level still works out at exactly 54 to 54 so I can still DS the mandrakes, hellions, and scourges.

It seems very fast and killy but would it work well against heavier armour? You've got 4x Blasters and 8x Haywire Blasters on quite fragile bodies, I'd imagine it wouldn't last long if you came up against Russes or Land Raiders.

Yeah it's definitely built for hordes. If I went up against a heavy mechanized list with things like russes and land raiders I'd probably try to play a much more cagey game of keep away, play to the objectives etc. Also depending on their load out they might be really bad at killing me as well, lascannons are terrible against this list.

Still have the rule of 3 problem by having 5 succubi don't you? Need to drop a succubus for something and maybe replace 1 with lelith since she is good now
