Hey guys had a break from the hobby for the past 5 years due to moving away with the military but am now more settled with the fam so decided it was time to pick it up again. Ive always loved the Bretonnian models but never got round to actually collecting an army of them, then unfortunately when i checked the new age of sigmar i found out that the Fleur-De-Lys covered Knights were gone!!! So after selling my old Dark Angel army i have begun collecting models from ebay slowly.

So thats my very small army, 6 grail knights (expensive!) and a Pegasus knight which arrived with an absolutely horrific paintjob, ive tried my best to make him look presentable but i definitely need a bit more practice. The knight is still a WIP as ive not even based him yet and am still considering adding some hand painted heraldry on his shield etc.

The army is going to be from Parravon a region in Bretonnia bordering the forest of Loren to the east and the grey mountains to the north. here is a little bit of fluff about them.

The Dukedom of Parravon is a founding Dukedom that lies upon the southern reaches of the Grey Mountains. Forming one of the three ducal barriers between the lands of the Empire and other Ducal lands, Parravon commands the southern territories centered around the Grey Lady Pass, one of three routes that allows trade between Bretonnia and the Empire. Just like the Dukedoms of Montfort and Gisoreux, the Dukedom of Parravon lies almost exclusively upon the rocky peaks of the southern Grey Mountains, with what little flatland being devoted to agriculture.

As such, many of Parravon's castles are built upon cliffs and peaks amongst the mountain range. Such a high altitude has ensured that Parravon is particularly noted for having a large number of Pegasus and Pegasus Knights amongst their ranks. Indeed, for their founding Duke had befriended the noble Glorfinial, lord and sire of all Royal Pegasus. Their current ruler is the young Duke Cassyon.

Any feedback would be great, I know i desperately need more paints as i only have the hobby starter set from the army painter which has hindered me somewhat but more i en route!

Excellent stuff with the current state of the Bretonnian range a lot of the plastic historicals especially Fireforge games stuff is probably your best bet for models.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Cheers bud, this will be a slow burner of a project to go along with my eldar army, I find the models very complex to paint after not painting for so many years. I should have probably started with something easier haha.
