I was just thinking about this to myself today. It feels to me that possessed fit in with Word Bearers about as much as cult marines fall within their own armies. Would you like this to happen? I think it would give word bearers a bit more identity on the board.

I'm not sure "this legion has a lot of X" means that "X should be a troops choice." Should Iron Warriors have Havocs and Predators as troops?

Possessed marines don't really strike me as the 'objective secured' type, nor particularly good for an organised and efficient command structure...

no, they should get Gal Vorbak in 40k as Elites, the current possessed should be thrown in a deep dark bin and new ones made based of the Gal Vorbak

Then don't give it to them.

But Berserker Marines do?

Command points and obsec are kind of part and parcel of troops. Otherwise you'd just take a vanguard since troops aren't compulsory in 8th.

Yeah, that was kind of my thought too. It's also not like mindless Rubrics strike me as the #1 in ObSec either.

I think people need to get out of the mindset of units swapping role. 8th edition has removed the need for that entirely.

Much to its detriment, now you must take a special detachment to play deathwing for example, which gimps you I’m the CP department, something deathwing severely need.

Emperors Children and World Eaters got preferential treatment though. Completely unfair.

its a stop gap until they have their own book and lose access to normal Chaos Space Marines.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Frankly I liked back in 7th whin "Angels of Death" supplement gave chapters extra slots for units. Iron hands could put Dreads in Elite and Heavy support. But rule of 3 so that's out the window...

Doesn't matter. They HAVE the change regardless and that's unfair.

Arguably, Word Bearers should get daemons as troops as well. Not just possessed.

But Cults have always had the stinky, dusty, angry and psychosonic rave biscuit marines as troops when unlocked with their respective marks. Now they are just being transitioned to troops as standard in their own codexes.

Chaos Undivided has sort of been neglected recent additions and this is, for the main, the category WBs fall into. Not that all WBs are multitheist.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.
