A while ago, I posted here looking for some tips and advise on how one might create a guitar that would fit in the hands of the most metal of warbosses. I didn't want to run the risk of inadvertently performing thread necromancy, so link to that here:

A big thank you to those of you who replied with ideas and examples. It helped a lot and I wanted to share what I was able to accomplish.
I intended to take several
WIP pictures of this to share here, but my inner mek took over, and I didn't stop to think about documenting my progress until I had finished assembling and started painting. Oh well...
What I did was draw out a template of the general shape I wanted and made sure it was a good scale. I then cut individual pieces of plasticard out to make the body, first the axe portion, and then the triangle bit that went over top. Then, two strips for the neck. The lower portion went under the triangle part, and the top strip made the neck flush with it.
I had to shave areas of the axe part to get it to the proper shape... Initially, the blades were not uniform with each other. I then whittled down the blade edges of the axe to make them look like the real deal. This turned out really good, but the primer I used detracted from the detail just a bit.
Along the neck, I had this thin strip of plastic that I used for the fret lines, the spacing between them getting less and less as I got closer to the body. I did an image search on Google for an electric guitar for reference. As for the strings, I used a thin jeweler's wire. Getting those suckers secured to neck was tricky, and so was keeping them straight. The top of the guitar is a bit crude, as I used a strip of greenstuff to initially hold the wire in place, then I used a needle to dab superglue under the wire on each fret line. Doing this ensures the wire will not bend much over time. It looks rough at the top, but what are you gonna do?
I'm not sure where I got the gun bit that I put on the neck, but the shell casings coming out came from the Ork Boyz, obviously.

For the Boss himself, he's an
AoBR Warboss. I had to cut his power klaw arm off at the elbow, turn it in and upside down so he had the proper pose. I pinned the arm in place and filled the gap in with greenstuff, reconstructing his elbow with some low-grade sculpting skills. (A good paint job covered the flaws up adequately). Based on where the guitar would be as he held it, I needed to have him look up slightly, so I used some greenstuff to redirect his neck. I also needed his other arm to be angled upward a little, so again, greenstuff to reposition it. This made his shoulder ugly, so I covered it with a shoulder pad from a Boar Boss kit. And yes, that is the same gun arm that comes with this model, I just (very carefully) cut the gun off his hand.
The speaker box is made from plasticard. For the speakers themselves, I pushed some greenstuff against a texture that made them look like actual speakers. I pushed them outward from inside the cube to give them a rounded appearance.
For a final touch, I used little spikes of greenstuff to make a mohawk for him. I decorated him with other Orky bits and gave him a good detailed paintjob.
He's easily my favorite Warboss now, and I can't wait to debut him in my next game.
