Well, i'm a little bit lost with him. I used him some times als my Warlord for my 2nd company. But now I am not sure what to do with him.

I know he his no more 2nd company Captain. He was lost in the Warp. But years later he his with Guilliman. This is the reason I don't know where he his placed ATM.

Will he have some day a new mini?

New Chapter Master?

Just a Bodyguard?

RIP?

I think he is going to slip away with the new founding of primaris heros. Primaris Sicarius would be pretty cool though. Being all about perfection I am pretty sure he would want to be made into Primaris.

I know this is not going to happen, but I would love to see a story where he falls to chaos and shows the dark side of the Ultramarines. He could be released as a traitor alongside a big Emperor's Children release as a warlord of a warband using their rules. This would be a great way to advance the story in those nice side stories and further the rivalry between the EC and Ultras. I can for sure see him giving in to his pride and arrogance and going fully over to Chaos to prove he is truly the greatest leading to a great duel with Calgar. They could even kill of Calgar to really build up some heat for Cato as well as legitimize him as a villain.

The thing I don't understand is why he his with Guilliman.

His Guilliman trying to teach him for being Chapter Master?

His Guilliman puting him has personal guard so that he his away from the comand?

He already shows the dark side of that. He doesnt need to fall to chaos to do that.

In the novel Dark Imperium Guilliman find him insufferable but sees great potential, so he keeps him around so he can show him the ropes. Calgar also takes this poorly and thinks he's going to be replaced, when in fact Guilliman needs him to keep all of Ultramar running while he's busy, but Calgar is a big whiny baby like Cato.

I am building up the Ultramarines 2nd company. When I begun collecting 40K I had Black Templars and after them Necrons. But I was allways thinking about the poster boys yes. A year ago I came back to the hobby after 8 years and I realise Cato would not be more the captain for my army. That hurts. I still use him when I play as my Warlord because for me one thing is the atmosphere of my army for paint and collect and other thing is play with my friends.

Now I am in a moment where I begin to hope he will come back to the Chapter. ATM i have painted two Tactical squads, two 5 man primaris squads, a Dreadnouught, a Rhino, one Lieutenant, a veteran squad, 5 man hellblaster squad, one squad 3 man inceptors, one devastator squad. I hope before I am finish there is a new mini of Cato. Would like to see him as Chapter Master

You don't have to play in this post Gathering Storm stupid era.
You can play Sicarius leading the 2nd Company if you want.
I have never even saw a primaris model in real life for exemple.
If that is what bother you, you can remain in the good old 40k setting.

GW doesn't seem to take away a character just because he's dead. in 40k alone we have a few dead characters still avaliable in Codex, ignoring Sicarious whose strike force could still be alive and romping around the warp, appering where needed, like a buncha Blue Kaldor Dragios, we have Typhos, Colour Sergent Kell, arguably Creed, partial credit to Eldred who died in the original 13th black crusade but got better...
