I think predators are ok. But stay away from whirlwinds and vindicators.

Dreadnoughts can be good.

Personally I don't like any space marine vehicles. They're all lackluster compared to the equivalents of every other faction. The only ones that I have seen get any good use are dreadnoughts in large part due to the fact that they get chapter tactics.

IH player here. If you really want to go tread head and not be laughed off a table go with the FW HH vehicles. All the sicaran varients are amazing and dreadnoughts are very IH fluffy so leviathans and deredeos bring the hurt.

While never going to make top GT table my FW focused IHs army takes many players by surprise and can handle any meta list and not auto-lose.

The FW whirlwind thingy is rather nasty from experience on the receiving end.

I prefer Dreadnoughts, the Venerable. 2s for shooting and fighting. Lots of options in weapons. I can only speak about GW, no idea about FW.
