Do you think the older metal stuff go down in price when the plastic stuff comes out?

No chance I would say. The ones that get directly replaced will probably be removed from sale and the other stuff will stay as is.

I don't know for sure, but I would think most Sisters players are a dedicated and passionate bunch who probably wouldn't want to part with their cherished metal models they've spent years collecting and painting.
But who knows, maybe!

I suspect a bit like the Death Guard release, the new plastic stuff will make some of the older lines obsolete, and perhaps cheaper on the second hand market.
Although GW will already be working out how to turn that to their advantage.

It's entirely possible the new kits will be entirely new units too. We might see Sisters equivalent of Intercessors and such for instance.
There'd probably be a little backlash to that, but I can see the appeal of essentially starting with a clean slate on the army.

Even if they just price-matched them to the plastic marines that's still halving the cost of a unit, before the big savings to be had with the start collecting boxes and third party sellers.
And I expect more than a few SoB players have a 'rejects' box of old unstripped metal models that will find their way to ebay.

I wouldn't bank on being able to get a cheap metal army once the plastics come out. Personally I'm buying more metal Sisters from GW in case they come out with something drastically different somehow. I don't want to end up in a situation like marine players with mini marines and primaris mixed in the same army.

Yep, I'd expect a jump up as the metals go OOP and then in a year or two the metals drop a bit in price as demand is diminished thanks to new plastics and last chance to buy panic buying.

My money is it being discontinued and then all the eBay metal Sisters going up in price instead as they become " OOP" models and sold as collectables.

Metal models tend to hold onto their value pretty well. They can be easily paint stripped and the material is tough enough to last well without damaging if they are kept well. So they present an ideal second hand market product and material for wargamers.
When the original metals go into finecast or out of production, if the design of the metal model is good then there is every chance that they will go up as collectors eat up what is left fast. What you then end up with is a smaller population left on ebay at the higher prices, which encourages more higher prices because those who direct sell base their price off what everyone else is charging (more or less). So it keeps itself inflated.
I know that I've paid as much and sometimes more for metal models as for finecast versions that are still sold. Now if GW blows us away with fantastic plastic versions then the effect might be muted for a while.
The only models I know for certain that have gone up and stayed up are the old slaanesh deamonetts (even though GW did sel them for a while not too long ago and I hope they do so again).

Honestly, in my mind... GW'S pricing system is wack. The very fact their higher ups refuses to lower prices on some models despite the tecknolgy and production of thpse models becoming cheaper is crazy! It's no doubt losing them hundreds of thousands every year. Most of their new stuff is pretty good with £10-20 being the avarge price for standard units.
Hopefully sisters will follow this trend and be chepaer than the metal stuff ot it's guaranteed to not sell as well and be an excuse for gw to never listen to the fans again.

It's really difficult to say. Some really popular sculpts, like Kasrkin, and Inquisitorial Storm Troopers, go for a really high price on eBay, despite the variety offered by new plastic replacements.
However some aftermarket models that used to be consistently expensive, like metal Wraithguard, plummeted in price when a generally popular plastic kit was released. It totally depends on the public's reaction to the lastest sculpt. All things considered, I think that plastic, posable Sisters will be really well received and the metal counterparts should be sold ASAP

I wouldn't put it past GW to completely rework the sisters line when the codex releases so the metal models become obsolete and index only options. I expect the plastic kits to have all different wargear. Which if it happens is likely to make the metal models less desirable as they'll mostly be for collectors or display pieces.

I doubt we're going to see different wargear unless Sisters drop the holy trinity (bolter, metla, flamer) or get some very unique versions of them. Based on the test sculpt they've shown off though, bolters aren't going anywhere or really changing so I'm going to guess that this isn't a thing.

But GW don't even need to do that - those who are going to use legacy models will keep using them as proxies. Outside of a GW sanctioned tournament (a tiny tiny fraction of the player community attending) it wouldn't have any effect on sales. Now sure GW will likely introduce more models; possibly new weapons and unit types etc.... but they don't really need to sabatage their historical models. Those who are going to buy and use second hand are going to do that any way.
Better that GW just makes awesome plastic models that people want to buy

I feel like if they made old models obsolete it wouldn't be for the purpose of trying to bring up the sales of the new models so much as trying to bring bring the army up to where they feel it should be. There'll definitely be new units even if the old ones aren't made obsolete. But I wouldn't put it past them giving them all new wargear saying it was in the name of giving them more of their own identity or something along those lines.

If they ever get round to doing them then I would think the prices would be similar or more than equivalent Marines
So Characters are going to be stupidly pricey.
But we have still only seen one picture.

I think we can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that the expected BBS box set - 4 basic Sisters, 1 Sister Superior, and 1 each of all the various upgrades available to Sisters squads - will retail for EXACTLY THE SAME as the current box of 10 metal Sisters. And the box of metal Sisters will disappear forever, with GW fully denying they ever made such a product.

I really doubt the news sister box will retail for 80+ dollars. That's already the highest GW charges for a troop squad. chances are plastic sisters will be 20 to 30 dollars cheaper than they are now.

I doubt they'll do that but my gut feeling is they'll expand the sisters range, pretty much the entire sisters infantry range can be done with 3 kits right now, so I expect we'll see brand new units, and we'll certainly see new OPTIONS for pre-existing ones,

If GW wanted to screw over sister players, they wouldn't be getting new models in a few months nor would they have redone St. Celestine and given her rules that make her an awesome HQ choice. GW is presumably spending a good deal of money to design and produce new models, I expect them to price them so that they sell well.

To be fair it took them a couple of tries with Celestine - the first set of rules that came with her plastic model made her incompatible with sororitas units... (no faith rule).
I was under the impression that the new sisters models were Q3 2019 ... wouldn't make sense to be this year given that GW has already mentioned a pre-release chapter approved update for them. Perhaps we'll get that promotional model though.

Oddly, from what I’ve seen on e-bay metal figures tend to keep their price, if not become almost as expensive as current kits. Speaking of which, I fully expect the plastic replacements to cost MORE than the current metals....
