After going on a post apocalyptic viewing binge and being exposed to the new Gaslands table top game, I was inspired to create my own Mad Max / Gaslands / post-apocalyptic car. I used a 1/48 scale Dom's Ice Charger Fast and the Furious die cast toy from Target as the body of my base (featured at the end of the gallery). I really enjoy the challenge of trying to elevate a simple toy into a piece of art, I hope that I succeeded. I hope you enjoy viewing my piece, and that you ride shiny and chrome through the roads of Valhalla. WITNESS ME!!!

"All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the Corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the Corps!" ---Sgt. Apone

"I say we take off, and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."-----Ripley

Can you expand on how you did the rust on the base? Pigments or .. i'm curious.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

I love it! wire mesh windshields are always nice for that post-apocalyptic feel, but every bit is just done so well

realism is a lie

Metallic base layer, sponge on rhinoz hide or hull red, streak with oils, lacquer when finished
