Grey Knights obviously can't get Astartes at the moment as they can't just let in new Astartes without being mind wiped and going through their training and indoctrination. However I wonder if Cawl or Girlyman could give them the genetech and say make your own, or more probably the inquisition or the grey knights would petition for the gene tech to be given to them so they can make Primaris grey knights.

It's gonna happen. The only reason it hasn't happened yet is that they need to make new kits for Primaris Grey Knights, as they're too different to use the vanilla kits.

That they currently lack this option really kills their theme as the most elitest of the marines.

I can't wait, I hope they keep the armour style though, especially terminators, they could make them better they could only ruin the look.

In universe I imagine Primaris Grey Knights are a bit more difficult given they lack a Primarch to build around.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Grey Knight primaris would be interesting. In essence it would breath life into the Gate of Infinity power, which is currently garbage.

I'm hoping for Primaris "hellbaster" esque GK. Where instead of a storm bolter they have plasma guns. OP as hell

I'm wanna see if GW expects Gravis to replace to replace Terminator Armour first. I wanna say no though, unless gravis armour can be outfitted with a way to deep strike. But at the same time gravis Armour is big and bulky but still has a 3+, so I can't wait to see something with more Armour lol

They get their geneseed from the Emperor, they still have that geneseed. Plus the Primaris marines are not made from the Primarch they are made from the Primarch project, which is made up of the Emperors DNA.

I like Gravis armour but I'd never allow it to replace terminator armour in my armies, as now I am making true scale terminators so if that happens which I fear it will, I will still have the old terminator armour.

They just need to give baseline GK the Primaris stat line, and call it a day.

I agree. Gravis armour is cool and they set themselves up for other random upgrades by saying mark X armour is modular.

I'm sure GW will shoot out as many variations of Armour as possible.

But we also want full scale marines. We don't want to be the midget brothers to the other Astartes.

Except primaris models are about custodean sized who are supposed to be head taller than marines. Thus primaris marines are not true scale marines

Are they? Custodes Codex doesn't say that.

The GK succesors got Primaris, so I guess it's just a matter of getting out all special chapters custom kits.

I mean, as of right now they are outside the Deathwing, the Ravenwing, the Death company, the Sanguinary guard, the whole Wolf cavalry, can't enter the DeathWatch unique flyer....... they are super special snowflakes.

Yeah but all chapters can use the Primaris kit/rules that's already out, we can't, so I think we should get the first update and I also collect Space Wolves and they are my primary loyalist army. But GK's never get any love anymore.

There are no GK succesors (except home brew ones). So I don't know how GKs get/got Primaris marines.

Actually I did read the OP but I was responding to the post before mine. That post claimed that a GK successor chapter had access to Primaris marines.

My bad.

My point is that by just giving all GK a Primaris stat line, GW can update the entire model line to be 100% Primaris as available. Or not. Just fix GK, GDI.

I don’t want primaris GK. I own an enormous amount of metal GK that I continued to supplement with plastic...I want them to fix existing GK.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Do we have any primaris psykers so far? Was thinking if there's a lore reason to buff the grey knights psyker schtick. Might make them into the army they're supposed to be if they get moar psychic stuff

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

Do they? That is a open question. We have NO idea what went into the creation of the Grey Knights. it could well be GKs are a case of divergent evolution and the process that lead to Grey Knights means they can't be made as Primaris Marines. Not saying this is or isn't the case but if GW decided they wanted to go that way, they certainly COULD

Just out of interest, how did the GK take to rowboats return?

I can’t see them bowing down to him

Nothings been said but we know an entire Grey Knights Brotherhood was present on Macragge when Gulliman awoke, and joined with him for his trek to Terra. we also know a LARGE Grey Knights task force arrived on Luna as Gulliman arrived to back him up, and then joined with Gulliman and the Primaris Marines in the defence of Terra.. and THEN supproted the Indomatus crusade.

So yeah GW hasn't said what they think of it all but they've been some of his earliest supporters.

Well they are going to update the models somehow, I really doubt they are going to make new marines for all Astartes and leave GK like midgets.

The 7th edition codex showed that they get their geneseed from the emperor.

No idea but the GK's have never really cared about Imperial politics, they work in secret, hardly anyone but the Inquisition, High Lords and Custodes know of their existence. They just get the job done, when gak gets weird who you gonna call...
