Because some of us have sense of decency. It's a fething stupid conversion and it's not funny.

There, I said it.

Humor is subjective. And it's a little funny, though since you don't die 1/6th of the time it's less relevant I guess.

Sense of decency? How is the view up there from your high horse? It’s supposed to be fun; anyone got the fun police meme pic for captain grumpy-pants here?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Not to be overly critical of players' creations, but one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people who buy kits- namely stuff like the various Primaris kits- they tend to make a sort of 'mistake'.

Granted, I've built enough of them to know and I've developed my own method- because I also made those same mistakes at first. My first batch of Reivers had a few of them looking like they were doing aerobic exercises or falling face-first and flailing guns around like idiots.

So, the lesson here is- build your dudes all the way up to where they have no arms and no head. THEN start matching up arms and such to the bodies to figure out a pose. You'll get a LOT more dynamic poses from your kits. And yes, I know that seems obvious to some but I see it often enough that I consider that sound advice.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

Well, back in the GorkaMorka days, there was a gun called the Six Shoota (or something similar), which in the fluff was stated as oftwn being the first weapon a Yoof is given. Some fully grown Orks were known to keep their Six Shoota as a memento.

While I agree with you... I still love my Oldmartes. He is so derpy and tiny, like the rest of my all metal Blood Angels army.

Intentional or not, it's still silly to see them on a battlefield.

They're xenos, they're meant to stand out. They look no more out of place than a tau mech does. Hell, the harlequins match the primarily european inspired imperium/chaos better than eldar grav tanks and the dark eldar skimmers.

I just Googled the old Chaplain Lemartes and nearly spat tea everywhere. He looks hilarious, the stark white skull reminds of the Urak Hai that detonates the explosive charge at the base of Helm's Deep.

I think in particular for me it has to be the Karate Kid kung fu werewolf squad leader for the Wulfen. The single stupidest pose GW has ever gone for in a recent mini.

They did a similar pose with the Callidus assassin, and I think they were going for the same "leaping down on prey" feel, but they didn't direct the intent of the mini downward or provide any basing to imply the mini was somewhere up high. So it just turned into crane stance kung fu.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Technically a sisters unit that was pinched by the inquisition to fill out their retinue options, along with the hospitaller.

Both first appeared in the 3rd edition Codex: Witch Hunters; only later moving over to the 4th edition Sisters of Battle army list.

Is that the original? Because that was a Gorkamorka special character, pretty clearly based on the autogiro pilot from Mad Max 2. He's got an oversized revolver, which is good enough for a slugga for me (I can't even remember if grots used different weapons to the Orks in Gorkmorka).

My one seemed to blow up a bit less than the normal plasma gun guys, completely anecdotal but just saying.

LOL, my first batch was worse. I had maybe one or two guys that had a really awesome dynamic and aggressive pose that was really cool... and a couple of guys standing bowlegged that looked like they were doing cheerleader poses, arm stretches, karate katas, or throttling a knife handle while they were having a bowel movement. It was goofy, some of them- almost like some of the old weird 'flat' metal model poses from the 90's.

I got used to building Shorty Marines after so many years, that I was just used to chopping out parts and putting an entire model together at once. Now I just build everything except arms and heads, then cut out the arms and heads and just make comparisons to each pose to see what looks the best on each model's pose.

Vigo. Spain.

Nah, thats a Wolverine phose. I imagine hes doing that move at the same time hes lighting his lighting claws. Or, if they can, as hes drawing them out.

It is not super weird looking, but it doesn't really work on a terminator. Terminators are heavy lumbering blocks. Trying to pose them 'dynamically' often doesn't look natural.

The Karate Kid Crane Kick Wulfen wins this thread IMO. But to add my own input:

Hmm, I never liked the way Ghaz is posed in this stiff action figure stance. I guess hes supposed to be lunging? I dunno but I re-positioned mine so his Klaw and gun are actually pointing forward.

Spoiler:

I like the Huron Blackheart model, but to me he looks like hes got a hand out, asking you for some spare change.

Spoiler:

You got the High Five action pose Solitaire. Maybe hes gonna give a little skin to Huron there?

Spoiler:

And then, theres the groin splitting, break dancing, Saturday Night Fever Guilliman.
