I fell a bit behind last week, because I received my monthly WH40K Conquest shipment, and assembled it.
Regarding AT, I assembled 4 Acastus Porphoryons, which were kind of a pain. I magnetized the secondary weapons and the missile rack head. I left the missile panel unglued so I can remove the head and close it should I want to.



This week I plan to add 4 more Porphoryons (4 per side should be more than enough), and if I've got time I'll go one step further down the size and move onto some Cerastus knights.

If you're building 4 more porphyrions, vanguard makes a great bit to replace the main guns so you can run them as acastus knights asterius's instead https://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/shop/matter-conversion-cannon-barrels/. I did that for one of my porphyrions, still painting it



New board setup, got some more badlands terrain and some tar pits. Also happy with how the shanty's look. Also just picked up print of grimdark's new train and some of the cool crane towers.

Just tidying up the models here and there, nothing great though.

Being as I don't play 40K beyond the odd open play game with starter sets, and Kill Team, I thought I would spend some time on wahapedia to get a better idea of how our knights and titans are represented in that game.

Its interesting that the hound's vulcan megabolter, Castigator's bolt cannon and Questoris' avenger all have the same stats, save for two differences; the megabolter has the most range and the highest heavy attacks. While less than the megabolter, the bolt cannon has more attacks than the Avenger. All three of these weapons has the same strength...

So last night I played around with the stats in AT to be more consistent with this. It pays to remember that AT and 40K are different rule systems and there might be a reason why its not like the following, but here goes...

Avenger Cannon

Range: Short( 8", +1 ), Long( 20", - )
Dice: 6
Str: 4

Bolt Cannon

Range: Short( 8", +1 ), Long( 20", - )
Dice: 7
Str: 4

Vulcan Mega Bolter

Range: Short( 12", +1 ), Long( 24", - )
Dice: 8
Str: 4

...it was only a exercise in curiosity but I might try them out between regular games. Maybe increasing the mega bolter to 15 points as it is gaining increased range and more dice.

I'm putting a lot of those pictures in other tabs, Crablezworth, so one day I can sit down with my box of building sprues and copy a bunch of your buildings. I like how they look.

Yup, they've got some cool parts that seems to mesh with the civitas terrain.

The designer commented on the photos on facebook, I'm still scrambling to find abaddon black locally to prime it.

Put in an order for some more magnets and a warhound base. Needed to bump the order up for free p&p, so I snuck in a harlequin solitaire...

It basicly was an evolving prosess, originaly i wanted it to be mono yellow with silver trims. Sometimes an idea have to mature for a bit before you see if works or not, and this one was more about luck, then planning.
But there wont be more like him in my collection, that is why i am doing blackshield legio; full colour freedom. (allso helps that Blackshield got their own rules last year)

My collection so far to just showcase what i mean by "colour freedom"(yea iphone image in bad light, but you get the general impression), still 3 more titans to be added, two of them i allready have a colour idea for. Only time will tell if they are viable or not.

Hello, no new model assembled this week, but I managed to get all my Titans primed with Leadbelcher (I also primed armor plates that are left on sprue). I also rearranged my shelf to get 4 levels for Titanicus, which is going to be an absolute necessity once the Warmaster is released...

3D printer just arrived. Waiting on the wash station and resin. Going to learn how to use it, then start printing up some of those lovely lucius beasties. And Grimdark Terrain

Now I'm curious to see what a Lucius Warbringer and Warmaster will look like.

I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it.

Was free on cults3D, google lucius war dog.

I think my next major hobby purchase is going to be a resin 3d printer. This thread just continues to crystallize that decision.
