Sorry for the potato quality, my poor decade old camera just doesn't cut the mustard these days (suggestions on a new camera come tax time very welcome).

So, enough excuses, let's talk pictures:
My Abominant, on my second attempt for his skin (an attempt I'm still not happy with and will be likely redoing again in the future to try and get a more pasty look since I'm putting my GSC on a very industrial world with no natural light in my head leading to pasty skin for everyone). I am rather happy with his overalls though as I feel like I accidently stumbled into a good method for denim (the color choices were nicked from how GW did Krieg uniforms). I'm considering going back and redoing the hammer head a bit though to give it hazard stripes because I'm putting those on every model at this point:

Next up is my first crack at an Iconward, though I'm looking at redoing the silver icon on the banner because it comes across as too flat despite using three different silvers for the colors. I am pretty happy with the rest of the look though, but I need to get better at hazard stripes:
Spoiler:

Lastly, I have my Patriach with 3 hours of painting put in, and using a different program to process the images to try and get a higher quality image out of my potato camera:

So the picture quality is better using ifranview to crop and resize (and do some minor color correction) but sadly the more subtle effects don't quite come across. I'm putting a light box on the shopping list for next month to try and see if that'll make it easier to get the colors to come across more cleanly, especially since I'm slowing down on my model purchases until my painting gets caught up (primed and waiting to be painted; a unit of Tooth and Claw Abberants, a unit of 8 Genestealers, two units of Neophytes (one IG, one GSC), 2 units of Hybrids (one with 2 saws, the other with 2 drills), a Rockgrinder, a cult LRBT, and a cult Chimera).

I played with my setup, but sadly I can't get the lighting any better until I get a light box set up. That said, I finished my Patriarch and the Abberants from a Tooth and Claw box set:

You might be able to tidy it up a bit in a free image editor like GIMP?

Looks good.

I was using IfranView which does a nice job with resizing and even has color correction options, I just lack the know-how to do anything really useful with it. The limitations of my camera don't help either since it's a 10 year old 10mpx digital camera (no, I don't have a smart phone camera to use instead). It used to cut the mustard, but since digital cameras have improved for good quality macro it's basically become a potato.

I would recommend whacking the Brightness down and the Contrast up.

It's been years since I used Irfanview but IIRC GIMP is a little more complicated (though not much more) but vastly more useful once you get to know it a bit. It's basically an open-source Photoshop.
