I think the unepectedly good mathmatical performance of the wazboom blastajet with smasha gun, wazboom mega kannons and kustom force field is an excellent surprise. The disappointing rules for the rukkatrukk squigbuggy and boomdakka snazzwagon lead me to believe that deffgun lootas, snazzgun equipped flash gitz and tellyported deffrolla battlewagons might turn out to be our best statistical high performers.
And I love that that paragraph both had a meeting and made sense.
"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

2) A squad of 10 Bad Moonz tank bustas with Extra Stikk bombs and Showin Off can throw 10d3 melta bombs twice a target. That's correct?
Yes.
Spoiler:
That phase. Showing off still happens in shooting phase(indeed right after it has shot first time) so grenade strategem is still active.
Re-rolling 1's, exploding 6's, re-rolling to wound. That's 3CP but one unit of tank bustas will vapourise a Knight with this combo. Might not even need to throw bombs twice!

How are you going to get them to 6"?

I am not sure I feel the same about the Snazzwagon as everyone else. To be fair, I love the model so I am going to use it regardless but with other threats taking priority I can see them being quite annoying. Once they get close a single snazzwagon does more wounds than a similarly priced unit of warbikes when firing at MEQ/GEQ when in optimal range. (their obvious target).
They also explode on a 4+ and have a -1 to hit. Run them up on suicide missions and I think they could do some damage! They're not meant to skirt the enemy while laying fire into them like some of the other buggies.
I could definitly be wrong though. I just did a quick math check but I'm rubbish at it lol.

I think the safe bet is a unit of smash guns
But the best anti knight shooting is still badmoons tanks bustas with bomb squigs
Even if you just deepstrike them and double tap strat they do a tremendous amount of damage.
The problem with that is it’s a suicide unit.
I’m still all about evilsuns and klaws
3x klaw dreads deepstrike and charge is a lot of damage
A bike bomb of trike, warboss w relic BC, painboy w relic klaw and zhardsnark and 3 scrapjets is a lot of damage too.
And since everything is individual units I don’t have to commit everything.
However a castellan who takes all that damage and explodes using the strat will do some major damage to those units fortunately I’m hoping most of his army is within range too.

So I know that the SG versus traktor kannon damage output has been debated. However for me at least. I feel like it would be harder for me to consistently roll 8+ versus rolling 4+'s. can anyone weigh in on this, maybe dice just hate me.

Doesn’t quite have jet like I would prefer. Didn’t bring kff because of trukks? Maybe worth bringing though
Boys trukk
Nobs trukk
Busta trukk
Git trukk
Characters throughout
2 units of bikes and 1 5man storm boy. (Harassers, chaff killer, obj grab, storm boys to jet pack onto buildings if needed??)
Deepstrike 30 boys while trukks push up and smasha guns unleash. Weirdoh can jump grots or banner nob and deepstrikw the nob trukk some games then jump him up to them?
Erroneously has this loaded up as battalion but would be brigade or whatever for +12CP, so 16CP?

I see it as 30 pts for traktor and 31 for Smasha gun
I dont have my codex in front of me but BS has the Smasha at 16 and Traktor at 30 (plus 15 base for either)
me either. my codex arrives in a week or so. ive just been messing around on BS until it does, so that could be the error. The thing is, the traktor kannon had the 30 cost a couple days ago and just got changed for some reason.

Excellent work! I think I know the answer but I'm going to ask anyway: What guns did you use on the Wazbom?
I ran the math with the Wazbom armed with 2 SS, KMK, and SG. The TB is alot worse, I'm pretty sure. It only gets a couple more shots, and only does 1 damage. I ran the numbers with and without the SS, and it turns out the SS do enough that it increases the points efficiency slightly. ETA. It also had the KFF.
Edit 2: Long Uncontrolled Bursts actually makes the Wabom really good against wave serpents with a serpent shield.

It's been upped to a "tellyport mega blasta" and it gets flat 3 shots and D3 damage.
The wazboms do .75 more damage on average to Standard T7 3+ Vehicle, the tellyports have 12" less range and have the little ability thing.
Since it's got two of those tellyport thingys you can target two different units with them. Provided your opponent has some models with 3-4 wounds, it's got a half decent chance of getting the special rule off once in a while.
We can't use stratagems on embarked units? Well, there goes my dakkaboat idea for a Chinork Warkopta...
Also, don't kannons not get kultur? Since they're missing the "kultur" tag?
There's no "kultur" tag.
There's <clan>. Everything is still <clan> in the codex. A detachment composed of only one <clan> gets a special rule CALLED "Kultur" - and there's another rule that units composed entirely of gretchins dont get Kultur.
Big Gunz are not all composed of gretchins.
They get kultur.

Ah, my mistake - I've been waiting for a few things to officially pick up the book; in the meantime, trying to read as much as possible - I thought I recalled people talking about a "Kultur" tag as well.
I wonder how this makes Deathskulls Kannons compare to the MekGuns; the new MekGuns are really strong, even without kultur, so... hmm.

WAIT big gunz get kulture??! Wow this never occured to me. Why are we not all running 18 death skulls kannons then??
Also, add another vote for the smasha gun vs traktor kannon from me. Traktor is nice with auto hit, 48" melta rule against flyers and auto exploding flyers. But the pure damage output of smasha's (and a greater diversity in the target units it can effciently damage) tips the scales for me.
I bought/was gifted two boxes of mek guns. Going to try and turn that into 6 with my bitx box and plasticard. How do the guns fit on to the platforms? Easy to magnetize? Do the guns even need to be secured to the platform?
