I'm wondering if certain bits from Primaris Inceptors, Deathwatch, and Custodes Guardian models can work together?

I'd like to make a custom model with the following parts:

- the jump pack (and maybe the body) from an Inceptor set
- the Xenophase Blade from a Deathwatch set
- the Storm shield (and maybe the pauldrons) from a Custodes Guardian Squad set

It's for a custom model that's intended to be my DIY Chapter's leader. I'm fully aware it would not be legal in-game, but it's for show-and-tell, not gaming.

So would those parts be compatible? I'm envisioning that they would...hopefully.

It should be fine.
Both the xenophase and shield are left handers, but that’s a very simple fix.
Custode pauldrons are probably too bulky to work with a jump pack without modification.

I've seen the jump pack work on non-gravis models and it's pretty nice, it also fits on a gravis captain pretty decently. Like vizier said you'd need to do some modification for the blade/shield since they're both left-handed but it should work.

I'd test the shoulderpads out before glueing them, make sure they fit with the inceptor. If they don't there's a lot of stuff you could clip off to make it work.

Also, if you're using custodian bits for space marines, check out the sagittarum guard. I've seen them used as primaris, and it's a pretty perfect fit.

Of the two gear pieces, I'm thinking the blade would be the easier of the two to modify. IRL, it's how I'd use them; shield in the left, weapon in the right.

Custodes shoulder pads would be a bonus but they aren't 100% necessary. If the work, they work. If not, Inceptor pauldrons will suffice.

EDIT: How big is Guilliman's helmet piece (not his bare head), and could it fit inside the head area of an Inceptor?

Guilliman's helmet is a bit bigger than the average marine's helmet IIRC.

No problem then, thanks. It was just a thought.

Everything is compatible, it just depends how much work you want to put in. I'd imagine, with all those parts being from power armoured humans, you'd probably manage with few problems
