Brigade seems standard post Codex. Evil Sunz for the obvious reasons. Move, charge. No spot for a Warboss. Big Mek with Waagh will have to make due. The Weirdboys will have to can't their spells and then do some Smiting. Army will mostly play the objectives, and can hold off the big charges for turns 2 and 3. I;m happy to have this mostly painted already. Just have to do a couple Koptas.

Tellyporta Meganobs vs Deff Dreads. The debate goes on.

Is the brigade fast attack tax better than the hq tax of multiple battalions? I am not impressed with deffkoptas but weirdboyz are alwasy good. I know you lose out on some cp--do the stormboyz get into combat turn 1? If not then a unit of boyz tellyported in might be better.

Usually 2x Battallions are better than a brigade since shooty units like tankbustas are way better with the Bad Moons kultur while choppy units only benefit from other kulturs like the Evil Sunz ones.

In a footslogging list more stormboyz should be more effective than koptas.

Doubling down on this, you are already sad about not having the points for better things in your first list. Bring two battalions, get ideal kultur on more of your units and get units you are excited about. With stratagems we are getting 1 tellyporta+ramspeed assault a turn, 1 set of exploding 5's/6's a turn, 1 'Showin off a turn', 1 Wreckerz a turn, 1 Endless Green tide a game, 1 pile in a turn. It strangely encourages a semi-diverse list of niche plans you can fit in your army that you want optimized units for to make the points worthwhile. So instead of a Brigade to get the most points, go for 2x battalion to reduce your tax and get two or three elements worth optimizing hard turn one and two.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Are you able to take index deffkoptas if they are in the new dex?

I thought you couldn't but the big bomm wargear might make it so.

Assuming your FLGS/Play group/ Tournament allows index, GW has said that codex data sheets CAN use index wargear if its not in the codex the big bomm and killsaw on koptas are examples of this.

I know what you guys are saying. I could drop the Koptas to reduce the tax, or split the Stormboys in to 3 smaller 10 man units that hunt FLY keywords. I really do not plan on running Bad Moons, since I am not keen on shooting. The points saved, might provide room to switch to 3 Smashas, and get rid of the Tractor Kannons. The Stormboys would take care of the flyers anyways.

Snakebite Tankbustas? Tankbustas in a Trukk? Can units in a trukk even use stratagems?

In any case. I will let you guys know how the list goes. Only time will tell.
