So I decided to make a custom Abaddon model, and used the Calth captain as the basis, plus a claw from the Prospero box and a sword from the Khorne Wrathmonger box. I still need to pop on the trophy racks, he’s going to have a more impressive base, and the bolter add-on for the Talon. I’ll update as more stuff happens, but this is the base with no GS work at all yet!

nice kit-bash. its a shame the arms are the wrong way round but it looks decent anyway.

I actually enjoy having a unique version with the gauntlet and sword flipped. I don’t feel like it’s a shame at all.

Thats the same as the original kharn the betrayer, either the new plasic or the forgeworld version is swapped

Yeah the forge world kharns weapons are swapped. It bugs me a bit, but his weapons are both ambidextrous, whereas the talon of horus is right handed. I guess you could say that it's reconfigurable to the other hand by switching the fingers or something.

I like it. I think the position and handedness of the weapons is just a matter of personal choice.

My own Abaddon has his hands swapped.

My head canon is that he switches every Crusade.

I would think they were ambidextrous, considering most of their melee weapons are left handed.
