Can a GK librarian take storm shield.

Topic title updated to be less vague and more to the point.

The Index GK Librarian has the option to take a Storm Shield. Per the upgrade options flow chart, you can still select a Storm Shield for a GK Librarian. The cost of the Shield is not listed in the codex or index, where means you use the cost found in the Space Marine codex.

While the first point is true, the second is a point of contention. By all rights, a Grey Knights Storm Shield has a points value of null, so you don't pay any points for it or you pay the Index SM points cost, the SM codex has nothing to do with GK index entries.

Index: Imperium 1 page 181 tells you that you can use the Librarian in Terminator armour from page 15 as a GK Librarian. Make sure to follow all the instructions there.

Right, but with a difficult issue like this that doesn't prove anything. It's just someone with an opinion that has made a decision on how to interpret it.

For friendly games, it's easier to just go along with it. But if you were talking about some kind of organised event you'd still have to check with the organiser, they don't always side with the interpretation in Battlescribe.
