I'm going to get this figure as a C'Tan.

There are some good laintjobs for it online.

Or

Or

I can't really say which of these looks better, they're all great jobs. If you can make a case for one as the way to go for a c'tan let me know.

Also i've painted small scale flames before but never anything on this scale. So if you know any good fire painting tutorials especially on a fire shaped figure please link.

Thanks.

If it’s for a C’Tan, I would say don’t paint it in normal flame colors. It’s supposed to be outside of the normal laws of reality. Paint it blue or purple or green instead. I have one I did as an Exalted Flamer.
Spoiler:

Fire is supposed to be brighter the further in you go so light colors in the recessed and darker the further out, but a space god can look however you want. I used a mix of blue and green washes for mine.

Thanks for replying. I like your blue paintjob, i might have gone nearly white in the interior and shaded down to a deep indigo at the tips. I wonder about that necrons green light effect with nearly white at the heart and sharing down to deep dark green at the tips.

Reaper makes some very low prices large elementals that would work for c'tan. Here's an earth elemental that could be "N'Gorrakh of the living stone" that could be painted in that dark green necron material with the crystals being the brighter green necron crystal look.
