Hello! I am new to playing 40k but have been looking to play for a few years now. A few of my friends finally started building their armies so I figured I would kick it into high gear and made my first attempt at a list. I am not looking to play Über Competitive, just looking to win some games against some other noobs. My friends play Death Guard, Necrons, and Tau.

I am looking for feedback on whether this army is as versatile as I am hoping it will be and what I might be able to improve. Some other units I own are: Assault Termies (heard they're bad this ed.), a Stormraven Gunship, more Intercessors, and a bunch of Tactical Marines. I appreciate all and any feedback thank you!

The Scouts and Baal Pred are meant to squat on objectives for me while the Scout Bikes and Inceptors clear screens for my deep strike, and my Intercessors and Hellblasters clean up. I would like to get a jump pack on my Priest and a Meltagun on my Libby Dread but I can't seem to find the points, some help here would also be appreciated.

Dont use the veritas vitae on the sang priest, he dies pretty quick, better put it on the libby dread. HKM is not worth the points. Better use those 6 pts. for something that isnt one shot only. Make the sang ancient your warlord to buff your SG. Use all PF on them (on the ancient as well). Swords and axes are meh now, PF is cheaper and better, the -1 to hit isnt so bad when you can re-roll all failed hits with the sang ancient as your warlord. With the HKM gone and 18 pts. saved on the SG you can now equip your JP or meltagun. Replace the plasma pistol from the scout bike sarge with a SB, remove the HB sponsons from the baal pred and you can have both. Baal pred is not the best choice points wise, but you need a heavy support choice, i would go with a dev squad, cherub, PC, LC, HB, ML. Overall, i like that list.

Any idea how I can get all those Powerfist bits since they come two to a pack only? Also I am glad you like the list overall! Your insight was most helpful!

Go on ebay and search for powerfist. Magnetize them when GW decides to change points for them again.

But you dont want to eliminate a unit in the round you are charging.
Better wipe it out in the subsequent turn.
Clearly, the enemy unit could withdraw but then it cannot do anything.

I do plan on magnetizing the Sanguinary Guard so I can see what works best. I'm not particularly looking forward to the extra work but I know it will be worth it.

You want to eliminate as many units as possible in one turn, because of red thirst. You only get +1 to wound in the turn you charged.
