As the topic states. The Hellforged contemptors have the <LEGION> faction keyword. In the CSM codex it is stated that the <LEGION> keyword of the CSM cannot be THOUSAND SONS. However the hellforged contemptor is not part of the CSM codex. Can we use it in a thousand sons detachment or not?

Check the Chaos FW Index FAQ, it explains exactly how <LEGION> works. Ghaz keeps a list at the top of the forum.

A hellforged comtemptor is a FW unit. The FW imperium armor index of chaos should answer this question. This forum is not a replacement for not having a rule book.

U can use the hellforged Dread as a thousand sons as long you replace the <Mark of Chaos> keyword with Tzeentch, then replace <legion> with <Thousand Sons>, goes the same for all gods.
