Just getting back into 40K havn't played since 5th edition. What i want to know is can i use a model such as Ghazgull as my warlord but not use him as ghazgul, if that makes sense

As long as you make it clear and what you're proxying is simlar in looks they'll be no problem in casual games. Most tournaments would make their own decisions if you send them pic beforehand and are usually sensible. E.g. proxying as a warboss in mega armour
