Looking for some fluff or fiction where IG regiments are giving commentary about other notable regiments.

Are there for instance, regiments which the Death Korps of Krieg would give a bit of a nod toward in terms of respect for their ability to carry orders unto death?

Are there other regiments that the Mordian Iron Guard might find "somewhat passable" in terms of their ability to follow orders?

And are there any regiments that just....well.. absolutely detest working with another? I mean sure, at the end of the day shoot the Xenos/Heretic/et al...… but perhaps not with those guys.

Gaunts Ghosts - their interactions and opinions of other Regiments is highly variable.

Most fiction has Catachans being fairly dismissive of other regiments.

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

The Traitor's Hand (Sandy Mitchell) sees the Tallarn regiments working alongside Valhallan ones.

They don't get along terribly well, (mostly due to command conflicts) although they acknowledge each other's specialties.

Most all regiments have a grudging annoyance for the Militarum Tempestus, more specifically, the Scions. Those guardsmen wouldn’t dare talk bad about the Lord Commissars.

If the truth can destroy it, then it deserves to be destroyed.

Catachans and Armageddon Ork hunters.. although this was probably more of a professional rivalry.

Occasionally, some regiments are merged due to battlefield casualties, a notable case was one merger between Elysians and Catachans, where despite their differing specialities, ended up meshing really well and became a top-notch air-drop commando force.

Death Korps generally seem not to really regard other regiments at all and are very insular, their cult of sacrifice effectively making them lack enough individuality to really interact with others beyond fellow bodycounts. This is partly the reason why they need regimental commissars to help make inter-regimental cooperation easier given how little they care about casualties, including those from other regiments.

Cadians seem to take great pride as being seen as basically the cream of the crop for most of the IG, at least according to Cadian Blood, especially in the aftermath of the Great Rift making a lot of the more traditional commanders reluctant to recruit forces from local battlezones to replenish their forces.

Relationships may vary greatly.

Catachans I think are the most buddy-like, if the other regiment proves themselves worthy.
Mordians and Cadians might have their noses bit upwards.
Praetorians and Ventrillian Nobles bit more than the previous.
Kriegsmen will most probably tend to themselves only.
Valhallans, Savlar, etc might be looked down upon often.

There was an instance when Scintillan Fusiliers called artillery on enemy what was engaged Catachans, resulting with many friendly-fire accidents. Same happened to Gaunts Ghosts in one of the early books. All purposefully.

"I can assure you that almost all units of the Scintillan 17th have been withdrawn from the target zones and we will be ready to commence orbital strikes on the Ork vanguard shortly. I also realize that significant elements of the Catachan 223rd have not reached the safe zone. This was always an anticipated risk, and I think I speak for many here when I say: really, who will miss them?"

– Commander-General Pailus, Scintillan 4th Army Group

U.k

In shadow sword they have a mixed crew from different regiments due to battlefield casualties and the like. Chem dogs are viewed as very much second class and untrustworthy etc. Lots of preconceived ideas about others.

And because the Tallarns are tedious Emperor-botherers. Whether that's a feature of Tallarns in general or just that one regiment isn't so clear.

Don't the dragoons pretty much not get along with anybody?
