Hey y'all... last weekend there was a very big Horus Heresy Event in Modena. And I'd like to share some photo of the battle my Iron Warriors toke part of in Saturday...
It was a 5vs5 table in witch the Iron Warriors (15000 points) had to defend the fortress of Siderius from Ultramarines and their allies (17500 points), the Carchera's Siege was a crucial battle in the Horus Heresy setting right before the conflict start on Earth.
Hope you like it, it was really fun and epic to play, thanks to gorgeous looking armies of my opponents and an epic fortress table...

To make things short, concerning my game:

-on the first turn, the Termite with machine killers veterans managed to force the Knight to use his shield on the rearside, leaving him open on the front. My turn ended with me destroying the Knight, his general/suzerain land raider and the plasma battery of the deredeo.
This was really big for me, slowing his advance a lot. In his turn he killed my (now useless) veterans, but to do so he lost a precious turn of advancing with key units as Suzerain and the Leviathan.

-On the following turns i was able to advance my domitar in a good position, where they tanked charges of terminators and breachers, killing both squad without suffering any losses.

-Despite some very devastating shots by nearby Polyphyrion, clearing most of my line of fire, the Domitar just win the game by their own, not going down even afther being charged by Leviathan and Suzerian with a Consul.

-before the end of the game, i was also able to slain his general with my warsmith.
