Okay so I made a post similar to this, except it was with a regular Space Marine, so who wins in a 1v1 fight with melee armaments? Both get a chainsword.

We know for a fact both are superior to the normal marine in a straight up fight and both are inferior to custodes. Primaris are for sure better than normal marines, but I don't think they are quite the level of the thunder warrios, but they are close. I could swear I read somewhere that thunder warrior who was unarmed managed to kill three world eaters in melee before being taken down. I don't see a primaris marine doing that. Note I only vaguely remember reading that and have no source for it so take it with a grain of salt.
As actual soldiers though there is no contest. Marines easily take it.

Same answer as before. Thunder Warriors are better at killing but Marines are better at soldier things.

World Eaters vs Thunder Warriors is in Betrayal.
Early in the Great Crusade, a small group of surviving Thunder Warriors calling themselves the Dait'Tar were among the renegades of the Cerberus Insurrection. The Emperor dispatched the XII Legion (later known as the World Eaters) to quell the uprising and punish the traitors. Despite their physical decline, and being severely outnumbered by one of the greatest Space Marine Legions, the Thunder Warriors managed to slaughter four to five times their number in Astartes. The Insurrection was eventually stopped however, after several hours of intense close quarters fighting.
So thunder warriors versus astartes legionaries held ~ a 4.5 to 1 advantage, and as renegades thats without the tech advantage custodes rely on. Primaris are good but they're not that good.

Keep in mind in this case there's a few variables worth factoring in,1: the thunder warriors proably had greater experiance (they where all veterns of the reunification war, meanwhile there's little evidance the world eaters had fought many if any battles in that war) 2: the Thunder Warriors presumably had a perpared defensive position.
These two factors are VERY much worth taking into account, a perpared defensive position by itself can be a highly effective force multiplier.

In fairness they're also declining physically according to the quote. So if they've declined a lot then that cancels the defensive advantage out a bit.

In a shooting match with Bolter Rifles, I would give the Primaris a winner. I see them as more accurate, more patient and more tactically minded. The Thunder Warriors are ferocious and powerful close combat fighter and are probably stronger and faster then even Primaris Marines so I would give the later winner in a duel with chainswords, but the duel would still be long and the Primaris would make the Thunder Warrior work a bit for his victory.
