So yeah trying to paint nighthaunt, but can't get the robes rights, trying to use that nighthaunt gloom but it either goes on too thick or does not cover enough, just wondering how everyone else paints their nighthaunt and if they have tips?

Nighthaunt Gloom should be applied very sparingly. It is a really heavy pigment.

The trick is to prime Corax White-->Apply Gloom to the hood and the top of the head, then gently bring it down using your finger or a glaze/detail brush.
After you've done that? Apply a light drybrush of Ulthuan Grey, wash with Hexwraith Flame, drybrush some color back onto the edges and job's done.
