How doo Dakka.

I've finally got the new Abby model, and for full disclosure for where this topic is going I've crossed the proverbial Rubicon here and have already done the conversion and am planning on running him as a DP with the Suppurating Plate for my DG, as this seems the only logical choice given the size of him and a Chaos Lord just wouldn't cut it. But the problem might be the size too. I keep looking and feeling he might be a tad too small and I'll get the ol' MFA accusations thrown around (despite me seeing numerous people running Mr Sassy Nurgling with a massively elevated base as a DP, but I digress...).

I've raised the base up a bit and given him wings, so he looks to have relatively the same silhouette as a regular DP, but I've nothing to compare it to as I think the plastic DP is cack and my other DPs are not GW models. He currently stands at 2.75" tall (approx) from the bottom of the base up to the top of the armour and exactly 4" to the top of the trophy rack from the base. His wingspan is 4.5" across (approx).

Am I good with those dimensions? Thanks in advance.

Quick bump.

So I take it literally no one on Dakka owns a plastic DP as it's that rubbish, eh?

Bodt

I'm not sure this is a painting/modelling question, as it seems bent more towards whether opponents would be happy to face him on the tabletop? I mean, modelling wise I don't imagine there's much you could do to make him bigger in any circumstance anyway?

It is though.

I'm asking for a size comparison. I've given the dimensions of the conversion I've already done, however my own existing DPs are not GW models and I know they are somewhat bigger than the GW one so are not a fair comparison. Looking at other scale pics online I can see Abby is as big as Bela'kor and I've embiggened the base to raise him up further, but in my head it doesn't look right as I've nothing to compare it to, as outlined in the OP.

I took two measuing aids and balanced them on the DPs wrists, so they are in line with his center mass and the middle of the base. By my eye he is (with wings) about 3.5" tall and about 3" wide.

@Stephanius Thank you. As I suspected only the presence of the trophy rack bumps him up to the same proportions and not Be'lakor size. Seeing as stuff like that is used for LOS then I appear to be good to go.

I'll still ask my opponent if it's okay to use, but as I only play wit friends 90% of the time that shouldn't really be an issue.
