Has anyone tried out the new slaneesh toys like syll esske, infernal entraptruss, and the contorted epitome.

I really love the look and fluff of the Slaneesh models but I have heard that the slaneesh army isnt too good. I was wondering if the new releases helped them out at all?

Shalaxi Helbane seems neat if she doesnt get evaporated before she gets into combat.

Shalaxi Helbane is an amazing character killer. She can go toe to toe with most of the other big beasts in the game and come out on top.

Syll'Esske, if super lucky, can one-shot an Imperial Knight. It gets an incredible amount of attacks and benefits from the character 'under 10 wounds' protection rule, so super easy to screen so that it can get into close combat. Lots of good re-rolls and buffs to nearby Slaanesh stuff (including itself).

Fiends are much more durable, and their soporific musk really neuters a lot of things that they want to get tied up with.

The Contorted Epitome is incredible. Stick it in front of an enemy psyker and laugh as Smites and other mortal wounds just bounce right off of it with its 2+ ignore mortal wounds, which even applies to its own perils of the warp if it rolls double 1s or 6s.

The Infernal Enrapturess is the only shooting that Slaanesh gets and is also a fantastic and fast support character.

The Slaanesh army is in a really good place. People just haven't played with it very much because all of these new toys just got rules/points.

That is good to hear, thank you for your input.

Heralds also have access to the Lash of Torment, which is technically a ranged weapon. EDIT - They can take Soul Grinders, too.

I'm not competitive so I can't speak to that, but I can tell you that Slaanesh Daemons are enormous fun. You'll rarely have a dull game.
