Subject: New ork player- wanting a jungle/forest basing scheme, anyone got any ideas/tutorials for that?
I wanna do something new and cool for my greenskin army. The only thing is that I want to try and not do dull greens, since my orks would have dull green skin themselves and I kind of want contrast.

I suspect making a base look like tropics or jungle is much the same as making a grassland base, but adding taller and more lush vegetation. Probably get some aquarium plants and clip fronds or tips off of them to make broadleaf plants. If you make them a vibrant green (maybe even with turquoise or violet highlights, cause hey they're alien plants), that should complement a muted green of the orks' skin.

You could use sections of vines from the vine thing to make it look like the orks are knee deep in brush, maybe underbase it with the mud technical paint? Should give you a nice, tropical rainforest look I suppose.

I google jungle bases, tried this... the barbed bracken looks great, but I had a few issues. Firstly it's dull greens which I don't want, and secondly, once applied to the base, I realized the barbed bracken are super frail and I'm afraid they'll easily break when I transport them.
