Hi everyone! I recently have started getting back into 40k having not played since the beginning of 6th edition. I played one game with Grey Knights and endless to say they are not as viable as I remember. I have decided to try out the Eldar models I played back in 5th edition, but I will be playing against a friend's tournament Imperial Guard and Imperial Knights list with 3 knights and 2 tank commanders decked out in plasma. He told me to tailor my list to fight lots of vehicles, but as I haven't played the faction in years much less in this edition I'm not really sure what works and what doesn't. Any advice is appreciated!

5 Dark Reapers

The Dark Reapers are in because I wasn't sure how to fill the remaining points and I've heard they're good against tanks, but they seem like a prime target for all the anti infantry weapons looking to shoot things other than my gravtanks though.

Welcome back to the hobby! I recently got back into the game myself so take all this with a grain of salt.

3 fire prisms are really good from what i hear, haven't run them myself yet though. You're definitely gonna want to use linked fire every turn.

Personally i would drop the 2 wave serpents for your guardians, combine them together and give them 2 shuriken cannons, then webway strike them near a "doomed" target or some screening units turn 2. Then pick up a 2nd ranger squad or some minimum dire avengers to ride with your fire dragons.

You could use the extra points to bump up your dark reaper squad. The key to using the dark reapers is to keep them out of LOS, move up and shoot (at no penalty to hit), then fire and fade them back out of LOS.

Last thing, your list doesn't really have much need for quicken/restrain, definitely take project/jinx instead. If possible, put your psykers on bikes too, the bump in maneuverability and survivability is sooo worth the 10 or so points.

Of note, you can place your Reapers in with a squad of Dragons together in a Wave Serpent. Reapers also can move and shoot with no penalty.

Overall, not a bad list. Looks a lot like 5th Ed Mechdar and is still reasonably ok to use inn8th.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Well, needs improvement.
Give the Serpents underslung shuricannons. No upgrades for the Serpents.
Take a 20 men Guardian Defenders unit for deep striking and 2x5 Dire Avengers or 2x5 Rangers.
Biel-Tan would be an appropriate CW.

In my book, I combine 5 Dire Avengers and 5 Fire Dragons and mount them into one Serpent.

Two squads of 5 Dark Reapers would certainly be better than a single one.

I never go out without an Autarch on jetbike, laser lance, reaper launcher (index), Warlord.
With path of command, she can boost the shooting of Dark Reapers in the early game,
and can go in for the character kill in the late game.

Couldn't agree more also with Biel Tan a Shining Spears unit works wonder! put them near the warlod with the Biel tan trait and for take them into combat use the court of the young king! i strongly suggest to try that
